Red grape skin extract: upcycling is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless products into new materials or substances with higher added value. In Europe, the production of agri-food waste is estimated at around 250 million tons/year, and in Italy, most of this waste is represented by by-products from the cereal processing industry (11 million tons/year), vines (2.3 million tons/year) and olives (1.2 million tons/year). The valorisation of these waste materials, through extraction technologies, generates a range of cosmetic ingredients with high added value and efficacy. This active ingredient is derived from UPCYCLING. The skin protects the grape from UV overexposure, pathogen attacks, environmental pollution and adverse weather conditions. The thousands of different molecules that the grape is able to synthesize and accumulate in the skin are the secret of these defenses. The biophenols of red grape are able to inhibit the activity of membrane metalloproteinases (MMP2) in different cell lines. MMP2s, also called collagenases or gelatinases A, are one of the causes of the degradation of collagen and other skin proteins such as insoluble elastin, and therefore lead to a decrease in skin tone and elasticity and thus the appearance of wrinkles. Enzymatic bioliquefaction technology allows all the active molecules of red grape skins to be used in bioavailable form. The cosmetic formulation thus becomes an efficient means of conveying the protective chemistry of the red grape phytocomplex to the skin in order to keep it young and healthy.

Antioxidant complex: contains Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), an enzyme that performs a deep antioxidant action against free radicals, restoring the skin's natural antioxidant balance to keep it healthy and delay cellular aging as much as possible.

Panthenol: by virtue of its marked moisturizing, emollient and soothing action, it helps protect and repair the skin barrier.

Niacinamide: reduces oxidative stress, prevents photoaging, lightens skin spots. Regulates sebum production, helping to mattify the skin.

Anti-wrinkle peptide: active ingredient with a marked anti-aging effect thanks to its ability to promote collagen and elastin synthesis. Recent studies have shown that this active ingredient is a biomimetic peptide derived from the youth hormone, thymopoietin. It offers an innovative approach to skin care: by compensating for the natural loss of thymic factors associated with thymus decline with age, it increases skin immunovigilance, stimulates cutaneous immune defenses and helps regenerate the epidermal profile, providing a powerful barrier against external factors.

Hyaluronic acid: it is essential for collagen formation and for maintaining skin hydration with a plumping effect on the skin.
